Singapore joins 17 other countries that will get their first taste of the iPhone next week. We expect 2 more nations are going to join them, total 20 countries will launch iPhone 3G on Aug 22.

SingTel said this Tuesday that it will be in Apple’s second phase iPhone 3G launch in Singapore on August 22.

SingTel is Singapore’s largest telecommunications company and the largest mobile network operator in the Asia Pacific outside of the People’s Republic of China. At the end of May, it had a combined mobile subscriber base of 185.3 million customers.
